I'm currently studying for my bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas, where I am a member of the honors program. I'm also involved in a program called LEAD, which allows for accelerated study for students heading to law school, like me. I am available to tutor students in all areas of ACT preparation. I did very well on my own ACT, and have helped numerous other students study for it, which led to their achieving high scores. The scores on standardized tests like the ACT can have a huge impact on a student's future, possibly making the difference between gaining acceptance at their preferred college or having to settle for an alternative. In tutoring for students preparing to take this test, I spend time with them making sure they know the content, which most students do. I spend most of the time teaching how to take the test, which is kind of an art in its own right, and not always intuitive. I enjoy seeing students succeed on their exam and gain entry to their prized post-secondary institutions. Outside of studying and tutoring, I enjoy singing, dancing, rock climbing, and knitting, as well as being a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox.
